Location: Mons, Belgium
Requirements:
• At least 2 years' experience designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing collaboration tools and platforms within a digital ecosystem of an organization
• Experience deploying communication and collaboration software (such as video conferencing systems, team messaging applications, and document sharing platforms)
• Proven experience in the configuration and operation of Voice and VTC core systems and end devices
• Proven experience in deployment and configuration of security features in the voice and VTC domains (TLS, PKI, IPSec, etc.)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to resolving QoS and technical issues in complex IP networks
• Excellent knowledge of SIP, H.323 and PSTN signalling protocols
• Good working knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies. Experience providing end users support
Desirable:
• Experience with collaboration solutions from major vendors like Cisco, Poly and Pexip
• Qualification of Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration (CCNP Collaboration)
• Experience with monitoring platforms and protocols such as CA Spectrum, nGenius One, SNMPv3, Syslog, etc
• Scripting experience ideally in Python and experience using regular expressions
• Experience with cloud-based collaboration solutions like Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex
• Ability to navigate, influence and negotiate with all levels of the organization, business partners, customers and users
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation
Duties:
• Perform service continuity improvement tasks on the NATO voice
• VTC infrastructures
• Support innovation efforts related to voice and video conferencing technology
• Work with the project management team and provides technical support to projects to enhance and improve the existing infrastructure and services
• Plan, test and carry out routine configuration and maintenance operations within the voice and VTC domains
• Be prepared to support maintenance activities and infrastructure deployments during out of business hours
• Coordinate and raise CRQs (change requests) and ASIs (authorised service interruptions) when needed
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (configuration baselines, engineering reports, network diagrams, etc.) and provide training for other team members on new technologies and features
• Mentor and/or coach team members on new voice and VTC technologies or features
• Investigate and propose long-term solutions to encountered equipment and configuration problems
• Provide third level support to the operations team for both static and deployable voice and video conference infrastructures when needed
• Deputize for higher-grade staff, if required
• Perform other duties as may be required
